PLATFORMS:
Windows 95, Windows NT 4.0

DESCRIPTION:
MultiRen enhances Windows Explorer with a sophisticated multiple rename
capability. To access MultiRen, select two or more files from within Explorer,
right click for the context menu, and select "Multiple Rename". In addition to
the standard wildcard characters, MultiRen supports special commands that add
sequential numbers to filenames, force upper or lower case, and more.

REVISION HISTORY:
Initial release.

INSTALLATION:
To install MultiRen, place its component files (MultiRen.dll, MultiRen.hlp,
MultiRen.cnt, and MRSetup.exe) in the directory of your choice. Launch
MRSetup.exe, then click the "Install MultiRen" button. MultiRen is now ready to
use. The program neither requires nor creates any additional files, though it
does create some registry entries. To remove MultiRen from your system, use the
Add/Remove Programs applet in Control Panel, or run MRSetup.exe again and choose
"Remove MultiRen". Either way, MRSetup.exe will remove all of MultiRen's
information from the system Registry. Once that's done, you can complete the
removal by deleting MultiRen's files. For details on program operation, refer to
the program's online help file.

SUPPORT:
Help for PC Magazine's free utilities can be obtained in our online discussion
areas, both on the World Wide Web (www.pcmag.com/discuss.htm) and on CompuServe

reading the posted messages. The authors of current utilities generally visit
these forums daily. If the author is not available and the forum sysops can't
answer your question, the Utilities column editor, who also checks the forums
each day, will contact the author for you.
